ITS TUESDAAAAY!

Hello Dears,

Here we are on our first Tuesday, ready and excited to lose all that ugly fat under our skin which is suffocating our organs from doing their job easily and normally.

Sit straight, chest up, tuck your tummy in. Pull your shoulders up and take them backwards till they are on a straight line level, push them down and take a deep breath, and feel the air entering your lungs, nourishing your body with the oxygen needed to boost your metabolism to get rid of those ugly clotted fat cells under your skin. Put on a wide smile, rest your neck and relax... & don't hunch

LET's GET STARTED!

Our first step into better shape and lean body is to understand our body and feel our organs and how they react. Take an image of your body and figure out where does the fat accumulate the most, do you have a pear shaped body (fat is concentrated around your hips)? Or and apple shaped body (fat concentrated mostly around your waist line) _which is on of the most dangerous fat accumulation, number one risks to heart diseases_? The latter indicated that you have excess intake of Carbohydrate _white carbs in specific_ in your meals, while the former shows that Fat level in your meals in higher than your body need. If you have fat spread all over your body equally it's because both carb's and fats intake are high.

These Carbohydrates are what nutritionist calls the white carbs which includes: white flour, white sugar, white pasta, white bread, even sweeteners as in splenda. Do a healthy choice and replace all these with whole grain breads, cereals and brown sugar by which they still turn into glucose in your body which is the only fuel for the brain cells and takes longer time to store the excess as fat, mean while you can burn it. This would be the first step in the carb's problem. As for the fat intake problem one should totally stop any fried food instead you can grill your food then add olive oil (healthy fat) or try to spray your food with it using oil sprayer, margrin and butter should be excluded from your diet for the first few months and then slowly will be added in your meals.

This is our first step into better looking bodies and healthier hearts, Remember before each meal try to do some activities for about 10 min to boost your metabolism and lower your appetite level. For example if you love kids you can run around the house playing with them, or you can dance , run up and down the stair (if you don’t have any health problems) or the easiest thing is to take 3 steps forward and 3 steps backwards or jog standing in your place.

DRINK WATER as much as you can between each meal and befor each meal, when ever you see water ...or you can go downstairs evey hour to drink a glass of water.

Till we meet again on Saturday feel free to ask, discus or e-mail me anytime.

My best regards,
Judy Abbott.

15 Female Birthday Wishes

By: MissCosmoQ8

Dear Beauty Goddess,

Please grant us the following:

(1) No wrinkles until we are 80 years old

(2) A Marilyn Monroe body until we are mentally prepared to ruin it by getting married and having babies

(3) A Hairdresser that is never in a bad mood when we go to see her so she doesn't end up chopping our hair off when all we need is a trim

(4) A beautician that doesn't blubber about her problems when we're supposed to be relaxing during a facial/massage

(5) A manicurists that's made sure the cuticle cutter was disenfected and is hygienic

(6) A salary that gets us to spend a whole shopping spree at Salhiya without having to sweat at the prices

(7) A magazine that gives us the latest trends in fashion and the intelligence not to follow the ridiculous ones

(8) A sheera woman that walks into the house discreetly without bumping into your Dad who asks "Who is this women?" and having to explain what the woman does

(9) An eyebrow plucker with mint breath and doesn't tell us that "you're eyebrow is made that way and there's nothing I can do to fix it"

(10) A nice saleswoman at the MAC/Estee Lauder who would never say that you have to buy the concealer/eye cream because "Yeee...3endek ekteer aswad ta7t e3yoonik..ma be seeer...or Madaaaam....you have black under your eyes...not goood!"

(11) A nice pharmacist that you just want to buy Panadols from and then won't try to sell you a new hair product because he's "noticed" that your hair is falling

(12) A one stop spa that can do everything all in one day, instead of letting us drive all around Kuwait to get them all done in different places

(13) A Moroccan girl that will give you a 7amam maghriby without sweating her head off and get you too depressed to enjoy it because you're feeling sorry for her

(14) An aerobics instructor that won't push us too hard that we end up pulling a muscle

(15) A man who can appreciate all the hell we women have to go through just to look good!

From our limited perspective...this is what we think we want and I ask that you grant us this or something even better...

Thank you!

Sorry Your Single

By: MissCosmoQ8

I lost my tongue the other day when I bumped into Jazz Central...and he said "I'm sorry you're not married"....granted he apologized a million times after saying it...and partly 'coz I believe he was worried I'd blog about it and get all the single females giving him a hard time...but I was more shocked that I just laughed and didn't come up with something smart to say..so I figured I'd leave it to the smart women on this site to do exactly what they should...GIVE HIM A HARD TIME!

Jower Shell

by MissCosmoKuwait

The other day I told a business contact of mine that she smelt good and she told me that she'd recently bought a new perfume and continued to say "ee...wayed 7elo...sherait ba3ad...hathak...shesamoona...hatha...el jower shell mala"...it took me a while to realize that she was trying to say that she bought the Shower Gel...need I say it was hilarious...from that day on..whenever I call her..I say "huh...shlonich jower shell!"...

So speaking of shower gels or jower shell, if you prefer, I've always used the Oceanus from the Body Shop but I'm so getting bored of it...so what's your favorite Shower Gel and why?

Beauty Salon Confusion

By Delicately Realistic

I'm sure most of you agree that when it comes to women's beauty salons in Kuwait there is no perfect salon that provides the best treatment for separate things. I think that didn't make much sense. What I'm trying to say is that I find myself visting a million salon's a day for different little things. Theres no one perfect salon that you can do everything all at once. I do my eyebrows in one place, cut my hair in another, manicure & pedicure somewhere else, and the list goes on. There are so many cheap salon's about, that I wish that they would all come together and make one good CLEAN salon! I have been on the quest to find that one perfect place where I can pamper myself, for years. Somewhere where I feel comfortable with the place and the staff. So girls, I'd like to know where you go to pamper yourselves.

New Year’s Mantra For Kuwait’s Single Girl Society

Dedicated to all the fabulous women out there...Have a Fabulous New Year!

Repeat after me...

I am a Beautiful..
I am responsible for my own happiness and pleasure.
I will let go of regret.
This is my life and I chose it.
I am in full command of my destiny.
I will not force memories upon myself that set me back.
I will look forward and anticipate my happiness.

I will live without regret.
I will embrace my gorgeousness, my magnetism, my
magnificence, my effervescence.
I will surround myself with people who appreciate me
and inspire me to go higher.
I will listen to great music and I will sing.
I will continue to learn.
I will practice yoga.
I will spread joy..
I will put my pleasure first.
I will be captivating.
I am fabulous and I know it and I will be it.
I am unafraid and I am not a victim.
I will make things happen, I will shake things up.
I will make a difference.
I will follow through.
I will dance often and decorate myself.
I will let myself be happy.
I will have faith in the order or the world and
I will stake my place in it.

Because no one can do this for me.
I must do this for me.
I am for me...others will follow.

A Mantra is something you keep repeating to yourself until you believe it..got any of your own you'd like to add to the above?

Weighing the Issue

by MissCosmoKuwait

Recently, I've lost the stubborn pounds that have been hanging on to my body for quite some time. The funny thing is, I was making the least effort. How you say? It's simple. At the tragic moments that I date someone (Oh my God, I'm so in love and we're going to live happily ever after), to my horror, I notice that I'm putting on weight! Frantically, I start my diet, go the gym religiously and then finally look at myself in the mirror and see nothing happening.

The moment I break up with the (oh my God, he's such a jerk!) candidate and fast forward one week with not a moment spent at the gym, I lose the extra pounds!

I've become so convinced of this diet that I now find myself preferring to stay thin than get myself involved with someone who's just going to make me fat! Thank you very much!

How about you? What's your weight style?

Wishing and Hoping....and Dreaming.....

by MissCosmoKuwait

Some us believe in love while others believe it's a load of crap.

Have you lost hope in Love? Did you ever believe in it in the first place? If not, why not? Where you born not believing in it or did someone go out of his/her way to make you stop believing in love?

Would you ever marry a marriage of convenience? Can you wake up in the morning knowing that you don't love the person sleeping next to you? Have the crazy stories of failed love in Kuwait made you believe that love no longer exists?

Are men and women in Kuwait so bitter towards each other that the ugly head of vengeance leaves no hope for love? If mind is over matter and the loss of belief in love is everywhere, does love even have the chance to exist?

Realistically, when you wake up in morning on a sunny day in Kuwait, do you think today I might fall in love or are you one of those who bitterly sits at Marina Mall bitching about the opposite sex with not an ounce of ra7ma in your heart?

Did the battle between Love and Hate in Kuwait mean that Love has lost the war?

Female Circumcision

by Flamingoliya

Al Arabiya news: Death of a four year old girl because of female circumcision in Sudan. They showed her picture and said that she was chopped not only externally, but internally too.

I know this issue is not new, but seeing her picture really affected me. I searched for this news online for posting but found nothing, maybe by tomorrow's news? Anyway, check out these links I found on the topic:

Blood Test Before Marriage

by Flamingoliya

Should you worry about Sexually Transmitted Diseases like AIDS before getting married?

Some women find it difficult or embarrassing to ask their husbands to be to get a blood test since some men refuse to do so and find it humiliating. Some men may even break up the engagement because of this request.

This blood test is an obligation in some Arab countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Bahrain. Do you think it should be forced in Kuwait too?

I think that forcing it would save the woman from the big request, the man from humiliation, and marriage from diseases.

Corpse Bride

by Flamingoliya

I saw this movie and I loved it. The story is romantic (read the summery below) and starts with an arranged marriage which for the first time :P gave me a good feeling about such marriages ;p

Here's a summery I got from <this link>

Blue-tinted, eye-ball-popping, maggot-infested beauty Emily (Bonham Carter) has become known as the Corpse Bride after waiting for her fiancé where the couple planned to rendezvous before getting hitched. When her groom arrives, he kills her, and she rests in the ground to wait for her soul mate, whether he knows he is the Corpse Bride's groom or not. It's a cold dark night, the moon is full, the stars are bright and the forest is a little bit creepy. Wandering through the black mangled trees, Victor (Depp) just can't memorize his wedding vows. Victor's hesitance towards marriage causes him to jumble the words. Two prominent families have arranged their children to be married in order to overcome financial difficulties. As the objects of betrothal, Victor and Victoria (Watson) met for the first time the night before their wedding. It only makes sense that Victor, a groom with cold feet, would have trouble remembering tedious wedding vows. Thus Victor ends up in the dark forest ringing his hands and muttering his vows, the vows that the Corpse Bride hears, bringing her out of the grave. Victor suddenly finds himself married to another woman, a voluptuous bombshell bride who also happens to be dead. Whisked away to the Land of the Dead, Victor finds out that living amongst corpses is not as easy as it seems. Heads easily loose their owners and eyes never seem to stay in their sockets, an adjustment that Victor seems reluctant to accept. Once taken into the Land of the Dead, it is nearly impossible to return, causing Victor to choose between risking Victoria's life or giving up his own.
Summary written by

My favorite quotes are: <

Barkis Bittern: Can a heart still break after it's stopped beating?

Elder Gutknecht: Why go up there when people are dying to get down here?

Old Woman: Is that you? But you've been dead 15 years! Skeleton: [grabs old woman] Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. [kisses her]

Finnis Everglot: There's an eye in me soup.

Victor Van Dort: With this hand I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.

The Corpse Bride: I was a bride. My dreams were taken from me. But now - now I've stolen them from someone else. I love you, Victor, but you are not mine.

FW: Food Misconceptions

by Salted-Caramel
.
Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it. Don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.
.
Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable).
.
Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have a body and you have body fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.
.
Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain.. Good!
.
Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!! Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're preheated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?
.
Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.
.
Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy? HELLO! Cocoa beans.. another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around!
.
Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.
.
Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!
.
Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets and remember, "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - chocolate in one hand - strawberries in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming - WOO HOO! What a Ride!!!!

Mother in Law Dilemma

by Flamingoliya

I heard of a man who divorced his wife because of many reasons but mainly because she doesn’t want to live with her mother in law. Some men insist on living with their mothers because one might be an only child. But in this case, he’s not. His mother is surrounded by her children and grand children.

Would you marry an only child?
Would you marry an only child whose mom passed away?

Would you marry a man who wants to live with his mom for the rest of his life?
Do you mind living with your mother in law, always?
Or do you want your own space?

Would you risk your marriage just because you can’t take living in a shared house?
Would you agree at first hoping for the night you strangle her to death?
Or would you just give in for the sake of your man?
Or would you just set your rules and never fall for a man only if he has his own place?

Don’t tell me his mom is an angel. Living in the same house would eventually cause friction. Would you risk it?

Triple W's to Happiness

by Judy Abbott

Women are being really sensitive recently I thought it was only with me (in my own head) but now I noticed that its being a universal thing, Women are trying to survive in their relationships, hardly focusing.

Sex factor newsletter are working on this issue and psychologically solving female life complicity called what "what women wants", solving all kind of issues female fight for and complain about ;) (Don’t worry women we don’t complain : P )

This is a little example take a look I loved the way the explained how much effort it should be done in little things that we don’t really think they need that much offer. I believe this is really tiring it would even take the whole idea out of my head, even this you need to work on? Mako facha! mako ra7a! ( . Thinking about it actually its not that much effort it's like buying a matching tank top to your new outfit (that’s why I hate shopping).

Enjoy. And let us know what do you think?

How Low Will You Go?

by MissCosmoKuwait

With all those Ramadan episodes full of deception and betrayal, I was wondering how far a woman would go when she finds out that she's been betrayed.

I recall a true story when a girl caught her then boyfriend with another girl. She picked up the first brick on the ground and slammed it right into the front window of his car. Nobody got hurt but I couldn't say that about his car and a fancy, sports car it was or used to be in this case. Then there was this other girl who faced the same circumstances and ended up heading straight to the "other" girl and soon it was a cat fight much to the man's joy. Ugh!

So the question is, when it comes to betrayal from the love of your life, how low would you go?

My First Post as a Member of the Kuwait Single Girls Society

by Delicately Realistic

Yay! I'm so happy to be part of the team, I feel so special! I'm part of the 'In crowd' as MissCosmo put it. Thank you girls for inviting me to join.

Big kiss for: Flamingoliya, Blossom, LittleBig, MissCosmoKuwait, Shopaholic Q8eya, Sloth, Spontaneousnessity and Salted-Caramel!

My post is inspired by the sweet Papillona's post about Guilt & Regret. This question is going to be more focused on relationship's and relationship doodee's to be more specific. I'm sure most of us have gotten ourselves involved in relationships lacking in affection and aspiration, while the other party feels the exact opposite. It is a very sticky situation to get yourself into, and you end up contemplating the different strategies of rejection. Be gentle? Or be truthful about the whole matter? You could always take the easy route and be deceitful by hiding behind juvenile excuses you know are inexcusable. Another approach could be the cruel tough guy/girl act. This is where you push yourself to be as brutal and nasty as possible, in the weak attempt to push the person into hating you and just moving on. I call this the 3abdel 7aleem Method (remember Ma3bodat ilJamaheer?) There are many other methods of destruction that I can think of, but I'd like to hear your views on this matter. That said, my question is obvious.

What is your strategy?
What is the worst you have done to end a relationship and why?

Hehe it turns out they are more than one question, but you'll forgive me I know :)

SKF

by MissCosmoKuwait

When it comes to being SKF (Single Kuwaiti Females) which one of the following attitudes should one follow:

(1) One day my Prince will show up on a white horse and I'm going to concentrate really hard in my own imagination to make it happen...

(2) There's no such thing as a Prince with a white horse, only a dishdasha with a car and he's never going to show up anyway 'coz life sucks!

(3) I'm having a great life, going out with friends, going to the gym and doing plenty of socializing...Prince?...who needs him?

(4) Oh my God...I'm still single...call everybody and get them to set me up with anyone...I can't stand one more minute of being single!

(5) I've heard enough sad stories about marriages and divorces and I think the whole marriage concept is overrated...I say staying single is actually a blessing in disguise

(6) Sooner or later the committed phobia man will finally pop the question and I'm sticking to him till he does

(7) Men are like Persian carpets..the more you step on them..the more precious they become...and the nastier I am the more likely he'll end up marrying me

(8) The more I party with my single friends, the more likely I will bump into my soul mate

(9) The more I socialize with my Mother or married friends, the more likely I'll meet my future mother-in-law who will lead me to him

(10) The more frogs I kiss...the more likely I'll find myself kissing the Prince

Desperately Seeking Cosmo Advise

OK Ladies...this is my first post on Kuwaiti Cosmopolitan...this is so exciting...I'm finally in the "In" crowd!..:)...and I've been dyeing to ask this question...if Flamingoliya's picture is anything like what she looks like in "real" life...where did she get that awesome haircut from? It's too cool. So here's my question, where do you cool ladies get your hair done? I'm basically sick and tired of cutting my hair at Shadows, I need a professional haircut but there are more beauty salons in Kuwait than there are bakalas so I'm lost. What's the name of your favorite beauty salon in Kuwait and who do you recommend to give you a decent haircut?

Unrealized Dreams

When I was a kid I wished I’d become so many things when I grow up. At an early age I wished I’d become a nurse. I enjoyed playing with my medical bag toy. Lots of relatives, friends, and neighbors were injected by baby Flam. I don’t want to tell you where, you should know that since I am too shy to say it.

As the years went by, I developed other wishes like becoming an astronaut. The sad thing is that I am now none of what I wished to be.

So did you have dreams? What was your dream occupation when you were a kid? Are you now what you wanted to be?

Weaker Gender :p

Q:- Why are female humans considered as a weaker gender...?
A:- Only male humans consider female humans to be the weaker sex...in ACTUAL fact, females are the superior sex ....just take a look at wild animals, say, lions....the lioness does the hunting whilst the lion just stupidly eats and mates...

Q:- Why do we see that gals often dresses in guys dressing like pants, etc and not visa-versa..?
A:- Because we gals are not afraid to try anything, unlike the other sex!

Q:- Why do ladies usually cry during a wedding...?
A:- Cos she suddenly realized that she's stuck with the ... beside her for the next 50 years or so..... Boo ! Hoo ! Hoo !

Q:- Why do guys gives flowers to girls....?
A:- Because guys are too cheap to give their girls diamonds or even cold hard cash.... and the worse thing is that some may foolishly believe the florist's claim that flowers are supposedly romantic !

1.) Feeling overwhelmed by stress
2.) Drinking too much alcohol -- or drinking too little
3.) Moving too little
4.) Eating too much saturated fat
5.) Smoking cigarettes
6.) Breathing polluted air
7.) Getting too much sun
8.) Getting too little sleep
9.) Being overweight
10.) Eating too much sugar

Police.. But Also Human..

Yes they exist! not in Kuwait thought, you girls recall that question in the tagging thing almost all of us had?
Do you consider police friend or foe? I said our police were creatures with issues, I mean it, I think they should go through a psychological test before they give them the tickets book, I have suffered a alot of times for no reason and I remember one particularly pulled me over because I gave signal switched lanes for no reason, according to him I should change lanes ONLY FOR EMERGENCY! I still remember his name E. S. Z. I'll never forget such a scumbbag, then I ran into this!! and I was like .. we should have even if only 20 of these in our police or guard force I'd be grateful!!

Talk about difference huh!! =~}

Gorgeous Salesperson

Sometimes when I shop I see things that I like but friends don’t and vise versa. Their opinions matter but not always; not when I really like an item so much that it desperately calls me to buy it.

Sometimes I don’t like an item much, but the salesperson who happens to look gorgeous tries to convince me that the thing looks beautiful on me.

Do you fall for that?

Have you ever bought something just because the salesperson is gorgeous?

Have you ever reassured yourself that your friends' opposing opinion doesn’t matter as long as the gorgeous salesperson thinks it look nice on you?

Do you think they mean it when they praise you?
Or do you think they are just doing so because they are targeting your pocket?

What? How? Why?

Did you hear about the totally stupid man who bought an AM radio?
It took him a month to work out that he could play it at night too.

Why did the totally stupid man stand in front of a window during a thunderstorm?
So that he could take photos without using the flash.

Why did the totally stupid man stare at the can of frozen orange juice?
Because it said “concentrate”.

1. If a totally stupid man is going to London on a plane, how can you steal his window seat?

2. What do you call ten totally stupid men standing ear to ear?

3. How do you keep a totally stupid man busy?
No cheating please!

What Nationality Were Adam and Eve?

A Briton, a Frenchman and a Russian are viewing a painting of Adam and Eve frolicking in the Garden of Eden.

"Look at their reserve, their calm," muses the Brit. "They must be British."

"Nonsense," the Frenchman disagrees. "They're naked, and so beautiful. Clearly, they are French."

"No clothes, no shelter," the Russian points out, "they have only an apple to eat, and they're being told this is paradise. They are Russian."

Fat Fat Fat

atkins-diet

I have been cheating and cheating AND cheating on my diet for the past.. what (counting) month!!! MONTH!! anyways..
This morning, the weighing scale showed that I've lost a total of 1.5 kg since the first week of August. So what does that tell you? CHEATING IS GOOD? Not really.
I suppose taking the stairs, jogging a lot and aerobics exercises I've been doing is working great!
I need to lose another 5kg by end of September, I don't really 'need' to but I want to lose 5 kg, especially that in Ramadan I can't help but gain weight I should really have self-control and avoid Ramadan gatherings (aka ghabga) and that's another issue I could write a whole post about but now I want to concentrate on how I can lose 5 by the end of september?

any ideas? ladies and gents..

Who said Babies are Angels?

Sarah's experience:

I had enough! .. 3 days of babysitting and I'm going insane!!!
I'm not used to this kind of life.. I feel selfless!! My life was ALL about ME!!! but NOW, it's all about him! It's all about the baby!

He watches cartoons all the day and when he gets bored, he cries and wants me to dance and sing to him, otherwise he wouldn't stop screaming, so I have no choice. I hate it when babies cry, especially in the middle of the night. It is pretty frustrating to deal with a one-year-old baby.. He can not talk so how would I know what he wants or how he feels or if anything hurts him!!! How can one communicate with a baby? This is too hard.

So this is the third day I think he misses his mom. He keeps biting me, pinching and punching. you should see the marks he gave me. I didn't sleep well.. Excellent!

Today I realized something, I want my single life back I want to go out whenever I want without worrying about my lil-Dude.. without feeling guilty that I left him home.. This is one tough lesson, I learnt I don't want to have a baby, atleast not anytime soon. I also learnt that being a mother is the hardest job ever! EVER! I mean it! I totally mean it!!

conclusion: this job is disappointingly unsuccessful, I don't think I'm doing good at all. 4 days left.. (allah yastir)

Flamingoliya’s experience:

Baby sitting for one day.. or should I say for a few hours?

I like babies but only when they are clean, fed, and well dressed. There are times when I have to baby sit my nephew. I miss him when he’s not around but when he’s here under my supervision, I don’t miss him that much. I mean, he needs constant supervision. I can’t do anything else without watching him. He may fall, he may touch my stuff and break them. So I found helpful tools to occupy him. I am not proud of them as I know that I should be more of an aunty but they help.

When I’m exercising in the living room, I let him watch Telly Tubbies. I hate them and never liked them in fact I detest them. But guess what? They are handy at such times. When I turn the video on, he sits still on the couch and gets hypnotized.

The times I’m in my bedroom blogging. Some links help too like:
If he gets bored, I turn the music on and he starts dancing along these rhymes:
He loves old Mcdonalds a lot. I’m ok with this song cos it reminds me of my childhood, Telly Tubbies don’t.
You can also download the midis on your mobile incase you were on the run.

Here’s a list of baby songs with their lyrics
I don’t like teaching kids English before Arabic. They have to learn their mother tongue first but too bad we don’t have such facilities in Arabic.

I think Telly Tubbies are stupid. All what my baby learned is saying ba-bye and to laugh the way the sun-kid laughs. But I realized that I was just looking at it my own way. He enjoys them, so what’s the harm.

But comparing Barney to Telly Tubbies, Barney whom I also hate seems to be more educating. There are older kids who sing, jump and dance. So I recommend Barney too.

I hope these tips can help you in baby sitting.

One last tip, if you smell something awful, call his nanny. That’s when she becomes most handy.

Oh and one more thing, if the baby is a few months old, electronic rocking chairs make them dizzy and you can find them sleeping in less than five minutes.

Thank you Barney, Telly Tubbies and last but not least, Space toons for your hypnotizing help.
