What doesnt Kill you makes you stronger! Right?

So.. is that statement true?
There are two arguments to this statement..

1. Agreeing on that it will make you stronger...
So more experiences throughout life may hurt you more and more... and when in the process of getting hurt, you are somehow less vulnerable every time it hits... It makes you more aware of life, and you can learn from your mistake and avoid'em next time around, but that doesnt mean that you will get hurt less... but it does make you stronger and ready to fight it faster. Been there, done this, done that! So really... lots of bad experiences in life does make you stronger.... IF it doesn't kill you first :-P

2. Disagreeing on that it will make you stronger...
Say that some people get into a car accident and then are left disabled for life! Not just car accidents, but also some diseases too... Take dementia for example. A person's mental state will deteriorate... translation = it is affecting the mental state but doesn't really kill you.. and even when trying to fight it... you are not getting any stronger!!

For the most part.. I think I agree... maybe when going down the hill you dont like the process, and you feel rather weaker than stronger... then when you beat it.. you become stronger... now think for a moment, what does it make you stronger for? For the next time it hits?

Agreed.

Indeed what doesn't kill you shall strengthens you. As you grow more expert in life experiences. Though life isn't about repetitiveness, might seem random and the appearances might look and even feel like a de-javu. But somehow you shall gain the knowledge to respond and be less vulnerable.

Ultimately, one shall experience it and detach from emotional consequences, so next time it shall be well known and even with predictable reactions.

If it only does not kill you in the process heehee :-)

When i said you go through some bad experiences I didnt mean the same ones in repetitive manner.. but just tough times, that you grow stronger but you may still get hurt badly.. coming over them is what matters :-)

Yes i agree cause after a while ur primal insticts kick in after so many fights. You will get used to a lot of pain and when you live a life with a lot of fighting in it u learn how to fight back without going down as soon as you get hit.

I thi nk it doesnt make you stronger...what it does is take us out of our rutinal life and shows us our real possiblities....we are used to a stable life were we are "happy" and when a tragedy occurs this stable life occurs only to show us what we are capable of. Our way of living keep us blind, we think that is the best we can do, but when a tragedy occurs, it means that you have to learn to leave your past and this way of you life to find you nwe destiny, and to realize that you are better than what you used to be...
