New Year’s Mantra For Kuwait’s Single Girl Society

Dedicated to all the fabulous women out there...Have a Fabulous New Year!

Repeat after me...

I am a Beautiful..
I am responsible for my own happiness and pleasure.
I will let go of regret.
This is my life and I chose it.
I am in full command of my destiny.
I will not force memories upon myself that set me back.
I will look forward and anticipate my happiness.

I will live without regret.
I will embrace my gorgeousness, my magnetism, my
magnificence, my effervescence.
I will surround myself with people who appreciate me
and inspire me to go higher.
I will listen to great music and I will sing.
I will continue to learn.
I will practice yoga.
I will spread joy..
I will put my pleasure first.
I will be captivating.
I am fabulous and I know it and I will be it.
I am unafraid and I am not a victim.
I will make things happen, I will shake things up.
I will make a difference.
I will follow through.
I will dance often and decorate myself.
I will let myself be happy.
I will have faith in the order or the world and
I will stake my place in it.

Because no one can do this for me.
I must do this for me.
I am for me...others will follow.

A Mantra is something you keep repeating to yourself until you believe it..got any of your own you'd like to add to the above?

Weighing the Issue

by MissCosmoKuwait

Recently, I've lost the stubborn pounds that have been hanging on to my body for quite some time. The funny thing is, I was making the least effort. How you say? It's simple. At the tragic moments that I date someone (Oh my God, I'm so in love and we're going to live happily ever after), to my horror, I notice that I'm putting on weight! Frantically, I start my diet, go the gym religiously and then finally look at myself in the mirror and see nothing happening.

The moment I break up with the (oh my God, he's such a jerk!) candidate and fast forward one week with not a moment spent at the gym, I lose the extra pounds!

I've become so convinced of this diet that I now find myself preferring to stay thin than get myself involved with someone who's just going to make me fat! Thank you very much!

How about you? What's your weight style?

Wishing and Hoping....and Dreaming.....

by MissCosmoKuwait

Some us believe in love while others believe it's a load of crap.

Have you lost hope in Love? Did you ever believe in it in the first place? If not, why not? Where you born not believing in it or did someone go out of his/her way to make you stop believing in love?

Would you ever marry a marriage of convenience? Can you wake up in the morning knowing that you don't love the person sleeping next to you? Have the crazy stories of failed love in Kuwait made you believe that love no longer exists?

Are men and women in Kuwait so bitter towards each other that the ugly head of vengeance leaves no hope for love? If mind is over matter and the loss of belief in love is everywhere, does love even have the chance to exist?

Realistically, when you wake up in morning on a sunny day in Kuwait, do you think today I might fall in love or are you one of those who bitterly sits at Marina Mall bitching about the opposite sex with not an ounce of ra7ma in your heart?

Did the battle between Love and Hate in Kuwait mean that Love has lost the war?

Female Circumcision

by Flamingoliya

Al Arabiya news: Death of a four year old girl because of female circumcision in Sudan. They showed her picture and said that she was chopped not only externally, but internally too.

I know this issue is not new, but seeing her picture really affected me. I searched for this news online for posting but found nothing, maybe by tomorrow's news? Anyway, check out these links I found on the topic:

Definition and types of female circumcision

A specialist midwife's view who offers support

Oh and while searching for news, I found this <click>
P.S. it's in arabic.

Special thanks for my friend who loves Kuwait.

Blood Test Before Marriage

by Flamingoliya

Should you worry about Sexually Transmitted Diseases like AIDS before getting married?

Some women find it difficult or embarrassing to ask their husbands to be to get a blood test since some men refuse to do so and find it humiliating. Some men may even break up the engagement because of this request.

This blood test is an obligation in some Arab countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Bahrain. Do you think it should be forced in Kuwait too?

I think that forcing it would save the woman from the big request, the man from humiliation, and marriage from diseases.
